Greetings, Parents. This week is a huge week. It is the last official week of practice before the CCL Spooktacular at Thomas Dale High School this Sunday, October 30, 2022! We are all so excited for the cheerleaders to show how hard they've worked the entire season! Please review the following important information:
Practice
Please make sure your child attends practice each day this week unless your child is ill. The practice schedule this week is as follows:
Monday - Ettrick Park - 6 PM - 7:30 PM
Tuesday - Ettrick Elementary - 6 PM - 8:00 PM
Wednesday - Ettrick Elementary - 6 PM - 8:00 PM
Thursday - Ettrick Elementary - 6 PM - 8:00 PM
Crowd Participation and Team Spirit
We are awarded points based on team spirit and crowd participation. We would love to see a sea of RED, BLACK, and GOLD. Please bring the signs you all made from our exhibition. The girls and coaches LOVED them!
Each team has performed their crowd participatory cheer during halftime. Please jump in and say the following:
Flag - You will spell out R-E-D and G-O-L-D after the flag squad; B-L-A-C-K in unison WITH the flag squad.
Minors - You will say W - I - N as the Minors hold up the W, I, and N posters.
Jr./Sr - You will say RED, BLACK, GOLD as the Jr/Sr cheerleaders hold up the signs.
Wristbands
Wednesday, October 26 is the LAST DAY TO PURCHASE COMPETITION WRISTBANDS. NO tickets will be sold at the door. Wristbands are $10 each. Non school aged children and those CCL cheerleaders and CQL football players in uniform will be admitted free. You may cash app your ticket money to $EYSACheerleading and place your cheerleader's name in the "for" section. If you do not cash app your payment, please have your cash payment to me by the end of Wednesday's practice.
I will distribute wristbands to those who have purchased them during Saturday's games on 10/29.
Competition Attire - Your child should come to competition FULLY DRESSED IN THE ATTIRE BELOW:
CLEAN white cheer shoes with WHITE laces.
Crop top/sleeves
Ettrick cheer vest
Black briefs
Cheer skirt
Red and black cheer bow
Black and white cheer socks. If your child has lost her socks, please order another pair ASAP so that the socks can arrive in time for competition. NO COLORED NAIL POLISH - Please wait until after competition to get your child's nails done. We are deducted points if your child has nail polish and/or long nails.
NO LONG NAILS
NO JEWELRY
NO BABY OIL OR VASELINE ON LEGS. You may use lotion.
Competition Hair:
Hair should be in a high BUN or PUFF ONLY with the red and black cheer bow centered on top of the head.
Competition Arrival and Performance Times:
Please be on time. We are required to check in as a team with ALL of our cheerleaders present. Please review the times below:
All teams will check in at Door #5 (Please see map below.)
Minors should arrive no later than 9:30 AM.
Minors Spectators will enter through the North Spectator Entrance @ 10:35 AM. (Please see map below.)
Flag should arrive no later than 11:00 AM.
Flag Spectators will enter through the South Spectator Entrance @ 11:50 AM. (Please see map below.)
Jrs/Srs should arrive no later than 12:50 PM.
Jr/Sr Spectators will enter through the South Spectator Entrance @ 1:50 PM. (Please see map below.)
Food Trucks and Tailgating
There will be food trucks parked near the baseball field.
Each association will be allowed to set up a tent area for tailgating. I am awaiting the official details from CCL as to where we will be allowed to set up. If you would like to donate items for tailgating, please see your team mom.
